*(1)”La Salve Rociera”, it is said every night, to the saint before the pilgrims move back to rest to continue the march the following day “La Salve Rociera”, is slightly more than a one save. It is a symbol of unity in communion with all creation and is sung by all who are gathered there.
 “El Rocío”, is a set of popular demonstrations performed by pilgrims during the course of the pilgrimage, in the way to the hermitage. In Almonte, Huelva, faithful and devoted, not missing the annual meeting to pray to the Virgen del Rocio. And the country procession, it becomes an event, the fruit of faith and joy of pilgrims and tourists. The historical records attest that 1270s, King Alfonso X, The Wise, elected so divine place  to erect a shrine to the Virgin. Today, it has become phenomenon among religious and folk. Along the way, peoples and carts pulled by oxen happen. In the sanctuary, jump to the fence to get to the Virgin carried in procession. Its streets decorated with wood and paper. The popularity of this celebration is large worldwide, since their veneration has led to the country’s most important pilgrimage. It is in May, Whit Monday, when the Virgin leaves in procession, their usual home and mix with the people of God, carried on the shoulders of locals and visitors. Among these landscapes of incomparable beauty, the warmth of prayer, song and tradition, more than half a million persons  peregrinate up to the hermitage to venerate the Virgin of the Dew, “Virgen del Rocío”, also enshrined as White Dove,” Paloma Blanca”  and Queen of the Marshes, “Reina de las Marismas”.

*(2) Piruja: triquitraque, artifice of fire. Pirujo > dangerous.

*(3) Jorge Amado de Faria: (10-8-1912 / 06/08/2001) unforgettable Brazilian writer. His works, translated into 49 languages, adapted to film, theater, television programs, and inspiration of topics in the samba schools of Brazilian carnival. 
He is born in the state of Bahia, on the farm Aurisidia, (Itabuna). He grew up and became a man in Ilheus, among cocoa plantations, surrounded by land workers who lived as slaves. Along with fishermen and sailors, blacks and mulattos who were fighting for their daily bread and against the injustices and miseries of the powerful. 
This is the fictional universe of Jorge Amado, Bahia and Ilheus, Ilheus and his peoples described in the sauce of his beliefs, rituals, miseries, his joys and his vanities. In each novel, the Brazilian author weaves, with care, which he loves and defends "always for freedom against despotism and arrogance, of the exploited against the exploiter, by the weak against the strong, the joy from pain, 
for hope against despair. In this struggle of man against man's enemy in this struggle between the future and the past” In Lands of the auger,”Terra do Sem Fim”, (1944), describes life on the cocoa plantations. Gabriela Clove and Cinnamon,”Gabriela cravo e canela”, (1958), shows the reality of social and political transition.
Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands, “Dona Flôr e seus dois maridos”, (1966), narrates the complicated intricacies of the duality of love. And so, magically all his literature is dotted with social realism that springs from every pore of his characters, turning them into denunciation, introducing the reader, with determination but without hatred, with tenacity but with sweetness, the called “Terra da Felicidade”, Bahia and his forever beloved Ilheus.
